Therapeutic massage is a bespoke treatment that uses a combination of Swedish/Holistic massage and Deep Tissue techniques, individually tailored to your needs. It is primarily aimed at relaxing both mind and body, whilst addressing any ‘niggles’ or sore spots you may be experiencing. The various massage techniques are designed to improve your circulation, soothe your muscles and make you feel more relaxed.

Therapeutic massage combines the benefits of Swedish/Holistic massage and Deep Tissue massage, promoting relaxation and relieving stress and tension, with firmer pressure to target problematic areas, help refresh and relax muscles, increase blood flow and promote healing.

This type of massage is good for you if you suffer from:

Back, neck, shoulder and other muscular stiffness, aches & pains
Stress and tension
Anxiety and low mood
Headaches
Insomnia, sleep problems and fatigue
Recovery from illness or injury

Massage should not be performed when there is fever, infection, open wounds, circulatory problems such as thrombosis, bleeding disorders or tumours in the area being massaged. Please ask if unsure.

Therapeutic massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. This adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for
relaxation as well as pain relief.

All treatment sessions are personalised and during the session you will be asked about the pressure being applied.

Your first treatment will usually be 60 minutes, including a full confidential consultation.

Further sessions can be booked for 45, 60 or 90 minutes, depending on your needs.

Therapeutic massage is generally comfortable and soothing. If deeper pressure is needed in some areas, when muscles are tense, this can feel painful, but we will always adjust the pressure to your bearable limits.
